The client recently acquired 2 sites which were within the same coastline and enjoying the same spectacular landscape and scenery overlooking the cliffs of the Llyn Peninsula with views towards Ireland. However, these properties were neither adjacent nor co-joined. One site was dominated by a derelict country house, whereas the other was a successfully operating holiday rental accommodation business comprising a mixture of converted farm cottages and caravans.
Previous attempts to find a sustainable use for the mansion had failed, whilst the successful site had previously expanded the caravan business. Natural Retreats who have a world class reputation for creating and operating very high quality rental accommodation in scenic locations wanted to rationalise the “total” offer by aggregating the potential of both sites – allowing the caravan component to be removed and replaced by a new balance of quality accommodation across both sites.
